Let me point out that I am not advoacting a boycott of PETE because the
price has dropped. It is why the price has dropped and the lost markets
that lead me to advocate urging consumers to buy products in containers
other than PETE.

Prices are driopping and markets being lsot because of the actions of the
virgin resin suppliers, not supply and demand as was the case with
paper. The resin producers are tkaing deliberate actions the result of
which is the destruction of the PETE recycling infrastructure.

I am also not advocating the dropping of PETE from recycling programs
that are collecting it. That may happen on its own as more markets
dissappear, but I don't support that as a response to the current
situation.
